Mme la député Cécile Rilhac's visit

MaiaSpace is honored to have welcomed in Vernon, Member of the French National Assembly Madame la Députée Cécile Rilhac, co-author of an information gathering mission relating to “the future of the European space industry” for the Economic Affairs Committee.

This visit was the occasion to show our first prototypes produced and tested there:

👉 The first full-scale prototype of the upper stage went through several cryogenic filling tests in the past weeks ❄ More filling tests to come, before hot firing tests expected in 2024.

👉 First hot firing test performed on our kick-stage “Colibri”, aimed at providing performance boost and mission flexibility 🔥 Other major system ground tests expected in 2024.

During the visit, MaiaSpace shared its unique positioning, leveraging the expertise and technologies developed by European industrial partners, notably its mother company ArianeGroup, while maintaining the responsiveness and flexibility of a start-up for the development of the two-stage mini-launcher.

Last but not least, MaiaSpace and Deputy Cécile Rilhac were fully aligned on the long-term vision to accelerate the mastering of key technological building blocks to prepare a future family of reusable, scalable and eco-responsible launchers in Europe.
